Who changed what, and the three states of an actor.
Who changed what in this workspace.
What is recorded#
Every successful customer write adds a row: creating a site, rotating a key, inviting a member, editing an alert, writing a blocklist entry.
A row stores an action code and an actor id, never a sentence and never a name. The page is served in four languages, and a member who renames themselves must not appear under two names in one list.
The three actor states#
| State | Means |
|---|---|
| The platform | The system acted; no person was involved |
| An account | This person is still in the workspace |
| An account, now gone | The action happened; the person is no longer here |
These are kept apart. Folding the third into the first turns a person's action into the system's.
Staff actions do not appear here#
This trail is the customer's. Platform staff have their own, and a staff action never shows up in your list.
Recording never breaks the operation#
Your change has already happened by the time the row is written. If that write fails the result is a missing row, which is why the page says "nothing recorded" rather than "nothing happened".
